I cleared my browser data and my budget is gone

Browser storage can be wiped if you clear site data, use private browsing, or your device reclaims space. Your budget lives in that storage, so clearing it removes the app's copy. Restore from your most recent backup in Settings > Your data using Restore from a backup file. This is the reason regular backups matter: a backup file is the one copy that survives a cleared browser.

Installing on iPhone or iPad

Open app.eachpayday.com.au in Safari, tap the Share button, and choose Add to Home Screen. It then opens full screen like an app and works offline. On iOS especially, keep a recent backup: Apple can clear a web app's storage if the device is low on space and the app has not been opened for a while, and a backup restores you in seconds.

"Update available, Reload"

When we ship an update, the installed app shows an "Update available" message with a Reload button. Tapping Reload loads the new version. Your data is untouched by an update, only the app itself changes.

Sample data vs my own data

If your dashboard shows an example household you did not enter, you are in sample mode. Clearing sample data returns you to a clean start where you can enter your own budget. Your real budget and the sample data are never mixed.
