Using EachPayday on more than one device
You can install EachPayday on all of your own devices, your phone, your tablet, your desktop. Add it to your home screen or dock and it runs like a native app, fully offline.
Your data does not sync live between devices
This is the important part to understand up front. Each install keeps its own separate copy of your budget on that device. EachPayday does not sync changes live from one device to another. Export and restore is a backup and move tool, not a live sync.
In practice that means: if you add an expense on your phone, your desktop will not know about it until you export a backup from the phone and restore it on the desktop.
The pattern that works today
Treat one device as the one you actually budget on, the one where you make changes. Your other devices are best used for viewing, or brought up to date by restoring a fresh backup from your main device when you want them current. If a partner uses EachPayday too, the simplest approach is to share one budget that one person maintains, rather than both editing separately and expecting the numbers to line up.
Live sync across devices is something we are looking at for a future version. It is not part of the app today, and we would rather be clear about that than have you expect it.
One licence, your household
An EachPayday licence is per household. You can activate it on your own set of devices, and partners or family in the same home share the one licence. It is meant to cover your own devices, not to be shared around publicly.
